Past and Future - Google Maps Envelope

Google Maps Envelopes Google Maps Envelope is an interface for Gmail and basically gives you the option to send the letter physically instead of electronically. Dope!

Rahul Mahtani and Yofred Moik have conceptualized the addition of a “Send Envelope” button that would enable users to quickly send a physical letter — rather than an e-mail — with spiffy Google Maps-esque packaging.

Upon clicking the “Send Envelope” button, Google would print and deliver an e-mail via the USPS for a small fee. The return address label is in a bubble at their start of a route traced on the map envelope, while the destination is in the address bubble at the end of the route. Between the two is the route that the letter takes to get there.

Think Different - Apple Gear

iCade iPad Arcade CabinetThis is why i’m 100% a Mac. Heres some new gear available for apple which are both very useful and super cool.

First up is the iCade - Simply insert your iPad into the docking cradle, run the iCade app and it’ll transform your iPad into a arcade machine.

Secondly the BookArc - A stand made from aluminium and covered in silicone will allow you to watch your favourite movie or read a book without having to hold the ipad for hours on end (which is quite annoying).

Last for today is the Desk Phone Dock for your iphone- it’s definately my favourite of the bunch mainly because I don’t have an ipad but also because it’s probably what the 2010 scarface would have on his desk.

Continue reading below for pictures of the other two items and hit up Apple for the guided tour vids explaining all the built in Apps and functionality of the iPAd.

3D - The Future is Now?

Screen shot of 3D Manifesto, an anaglyphic blog by Patrick Swinnea (Put Glasses On Now)

Whats up with all this 3D technology, from blogs (pictured left) to Tv’s. Today actually marks the first day that 3D tv’s are available to purchase in Canada. Samsung has released they’re version which ranges from around $2500-$4000+. The glasses will cost you another $250. Either way I dont think i’m ready for the change, dont get me wrong I love watching 3D movies in theatres but that’s completely different. I can’t imagine myself getting home from work, plugging in my glasses and watching a show like The Office while practically having Michael Scott in my living room with me. It could be fun though, maybe I just don’t like change.

Keep It Simple Stupid - MoviePeg

moviepeg_iphone

As you all know I’m a Mac…I found this and I loved how clean and simple the construction of this item is. It’s the no-hand stand for your iphone or ipod movies, videos, classic flip clock app etc.

Forget awkwardly propping up your iPhone with your bag or that complicated tripod contraption. Add MoviePeg to your iPhone, adjust the angle and like magic you’ll be in relaxed viewing heaven.

I want…I need.
