BET Awards 2010

tfc_friendsinhighplacesI’m blessed to be invited to my very first BET Awards this year. I  didn’t plan for this to happen but I’m out here in L.A. and this trip is showing that New York Los Angeles is the City of Dreams.

To think that in less than 1 year I’m out here working alongside people that last year I watched on the Awards. Things are moving real fast right now but I gotta hop offline and head over to the Beverly Center with Phil to pick up some gear for the festivities. Tune in Sunday!

Television.

Personally, Im a 90’s baby, in most ways I believe television raised me (please, don’t repeat that around my mother - she would kill me) but I feel most of my morals and lessons were taught to me through shows like Animaniacs, Dexter’s Laboratory, Rugrats, and the 2000s re-runs of Boy Meets World and Fresh Prince…I feel television is responsible for more than half of the pictures that come in my head as I create these character filled, universal, emotion driven stories that I call - ahem - MUSIC…I dont watch as much TV now that my journey has kept me busy but I am thankful for the moments that me and my Sony KV32S40 spent together…I feel I left her it with more inspiration than a broken heart would have given me… This video kinda says other-wise…

This is a video is a interpretation done by Beth Fulton. The inspiration comes from Todd Alcott’s poem, Television.

3D - The Future is Now?

Screen shot of 3D Manifesto, an anaglyphic blog by Patrick Swinnea (Put Glasses On Now)

Whats up with all this 3D technology, from blogs (pictured left) to Tv’s. Today actually marks the first day that 3D tv’s are available to purchase in Canada. Samsung has released they’re version which ranges from around $2500-$4000+. The glasses will cost you another $250. Either way I dont think i’m ready for the change, dont get me wrong I love watching 3D movies in theatres but that’s completely different. I can’t imagine myself getting home from work, plugging in my glasses and watching a show like The Office while practically having Michael Scott in my living room with me. It could be fun though, maybe I just don’t like change.
